One of the major challenges to integrating renewables is what to do about thier inherent varibility. At the heart of this proposal is the Eklutna Pumped Hydro Complex—a giant rainy day fund/battery—which has the added benifit of helping restore the lake to its proper level and restore salmon habitat.
